About

We make documentation worth reading.

FOLIO was founded on a simple belief: your docs deserve to be as good as your product.

Our mission

Give every team a knowledge base that reads like a book, syncs with their code, and measures what readers actually get through.

We watched too many teams pour love into their product and then publish docs on a default wiki — a graveyard of drifting pages nobody navigates and nobody trusts. Not because they didn't care, but because good documentation was hard: no typesetting, no sync, no measurement.

So we built the thing we kept wishing existed: a knowledge base that treats docs as a product. Today FOLIO publishes millions of pages across thousands of teams — and the answer is finally one search away.

Values

What we optimize for.

Typeset with care

Presentation is respect. If the docs look good enough to read, people read them.

Sync, don't drift

Docs should describe the truth. When code changes, the words change with it.

Measure the read

We optimize for completion, not for pages shipped. A doc nobody reads is a bug.
